12 slices of white bread, crust removed
2 packages (8oz.) cream cheese
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 cup water, 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
Cut bread in 1 inch cubes, place half in greased 9×13 baking dish, cut cream cheese into 1 inch cubes, place over bread, top with remaining bread. Beat eggs, add milk and syrup, beat well and pour over eggs. Cover and chill 8 hours, remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 25-30 minutes more. .To make sauce- cook sugar and cornstarch in saucepan, add water and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly, stir in blueberries. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stir in butter and pour over french toast mixture.
